From your observations, who on the roster has made the biggest strides from the offseason to the end of training camp? - CARL / FORT WORTH, TEXAS
Bryan: You're going to hate my answer, but I would have never believed that Codey McElroy could be as far along as he has. It's a credit not only to himself but the staff working with him. I could now see him as a practice squad player, then developing into a potential roster player in the future. If you want another player, Taco Charlton has improved as well.
Rob: Undrafted rookie defensive tackle Ricky Walker is showing up more and more. He played well in the 49ers game and he continues to make plays in practice. Two would-be sacks on Monday and another on Tuesday. An interesting aside: At one point, the second-team defensive line Tuesday featured four rookies -- Walker, Daniel Wise, Jalen Jelks and Joe Jackson -- with Trysten Hill replacing Maliek Collins (rest) with the starters.
We all know that the coaching staff loves versatility. Have they given any thought about trying Chido at strong safety? They could slide Anthony Brown outside and find a way to get Jourdan Lewis on the field in the slot. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Chido play safety in college? - MARK OWENS / ABINGDON, MD
Bryan: Awuzie did play some safety in college, and I do understand what you're trying to do here to get your best five on the field. But Awuzie has been the best corner in training camp and in my opinion heading toward that breakout season. I am leaving him at corner and seeing what happens there.
Rob: You get points for creativity. We've heard Jason Garrett talk about getting the best five offensive linemen on the field. But Awuzie, in my opinion, is having the best camp of any cornerback on the team (and maybe any defensive back, including Xavier Woods). If I'm putting together a list of the top five players in camp, he's on it. I'm not moving him anywhere.
