Irving, Texas—The Dallas Cowboys and Gene and Jerry Jones Families Charities have opened the floor for nominations for the 2012 Dallas Cowboys Community Quarterback Award, an annual volunteer recognition and grant program which has awarded nearly $250,000 in grant money to deserving nonprofits in the North Texas area since 2000.

The Dallas Cowboys understand how important volunteers are to the success of charitable causes and are thus excited to extend the opportunity to nonprofit organizations to nominate individuals who have gone above and beyond to help accomplish their community outreach goals. Nonprofits have the opportunity to not only benefit from a volunteer's leadership, but also benefit monetarily as the award-winning volunteers receive grants to donate back to their nominating charities.

The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, November 16, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. Any questions can be directed to the Dallas Cowboys Community Relations Department at (972) 556-9959.

Good luck to our nominees and thank you for all you do to better the North Texas community!
