Parcells Chooses A-Train Over Rookie Thompson

New Perspective
Before signing with the Cowboys this past off-season, Anthony Thomas posted two 1,000-yard seasons in four years with Chicago.

Mixed Reviews
Parcells wasn't as pleased with rookie tackle Rob Petitti's performance on Sunday. He gave his sixth-round pick "mixed reviews" against Giants Pro Bowl defensive end Michael Strahan.

Where's Dat?
Parcells said he isn't sure whether linebacker Dat Nguyen, who missed his second straight game with a neck injury, will return to the lineup Sunday at Seattle.

Short Shots
Parcells said that Seattle's offense, "balance-wise," will be the best the Cowboys have seen so far this season. The Seahawks (4-2) racked up 459 total yards in a 42-10 victory over Houston on Sunday night . . . When asked if the Cowboys are exploring a trade before Tuesday's NFL deadline, Parcells said, "I don't know of anything we're doing right now." . . . Parcells said he's been pleased with kicker Jose Cortez despite missing two field goals (49, 48 yards) against the Giants. "I thought he hit the ball pretty good, even the one he missed," Parcells said . . . Cortez's 49-yard attempt was blocked, but Parcells said that was because of a protection problem. Cortez also kicked the game-winning 45-yard attempt in overtime.
