Saturday Notes: Primetime Observing Practice

Position: Wide Receiver Height/Weight: 6-2, 199
Age: 22
College: Boise State
NFL Exp: Rookie
How Acquired: FA for '07
Hometown: El Modena, Calif. Fitting In: If Rabb is going to make the team, it will be on special teams. There is a lengthy list of veteran receivers ahead of him, so Rabb needs to impress the coaches in more ways than catching passes.
So Far: Rabb hasn't played in anything above third-team offense at training camp, catching most of his balls from rookie quarterback Richard Bartel. The fact that he hasn't run with either Tony Romo or Brad Johnson much suggests the most likely road to the 53-man roster is through special teams.
Best Asset: Consistency. The second receiving option on Boise State's Fiesta Bowl team, Rabb averaged under 10 yards per catch only three times last year.
You Should Know: Rabb cemented himself in college football history, catching a 35-yard touchdown pass with seven seconds left to send the 2007 Fiesta Bowl - perhaps the most memorable ever - into overtime.
A Mouthful: "Things are going to go bad for me; I already know things are going bad. But the more I work at them, the better I get, the better I get, the better off the team is." -Zach Buchanan

The Cowboys are exploring alternative sites to hold camp next year, including the possibility of finding an outdoor facility in San Antonio.
