OVERVIEW: From Beaumont, Texas, Rivers is a four-year product of Duke who received an excellent defensive football education from the likes of Mike Elko and Manny Diaz. The experience shows on film with the lack of mistakes he makes. Because of some size restrictions, though, Rivers projects as a slot corner in the NFL, but he will be strong in zone coverage and able to handle the multiple responsibilities that a Christian Parker defense would likely ask him to do.
