|---|---|
| Strong press man corner who gets a great initial punch and then carries the receiver after it. Excellent physicality as one of the better run-defending corners in the draft. Mirrors zone coverage off quarterback’s eyes. | If initial punch doesn’t land, can struggle playing catch-up. Stiffer hips that can be attacked on inside routes and allow quicker receivers to win over the middle. Can get a bit handsy when beat downfield. |
OVERVIEW: While Hood's Volunteers teammate Jermod McCoy has garnered a lot of attention, Hood had a solid finish to his collegiate career in 2025. Tennessee was his third school in as many seasons, having begun his career at Auburn in 2023 and transferring to Colorado in 2024 before closing his last year of college football in Knoxville. Teams will love Hood's style of play against the run. He doesn't hesitate to head to the football and can bring down bigger players. In coverage, he plays with the same physicality in man-to-man.
