A physical press-man corner, McCoy has filled well into his frame. He can run stride for stride with anyone, and with fluid hips can change direction on a dime while staying in the pocket of receivers. McCoy suffered a torn ACL in January 2025 and hasn’t played in a game since December 2024. So there are questions surrounding how healthy his knee is, and if he can still break in and out of backpedals.

OVERVIEW: If McCoy hadn't suffered a major knee injury at the end of the 2024 season, there is a world where he could've been the undisputed top cornerback in the 2026 draft class. He still may be, even though he'll be playing for the first time in nearly two years. When healthy, McCoy was giving fits to some of the best receivers in the SEC at just 19 years of age and in his second season of college football. In his lone campaign with the Volunteers, McCoy tallied 44 tackles, four interceptions and seven pass breakups.
