PRO CON
Delane has excellent man-to-man coverage ability thanks to his strong instincts, high football IQ and good technique to mirror the wide receiver. He attacks the triangle when the ball is in his vicinity and has consistently showed an ability to break up passes. There’s still room for improvement in zone coverage. He moves better going north and south compared to east and west. Can struggle at times with deep passes and can get better as an open-field tackler.

OVERVIEW: After spending three seasons at Virginia Tech, Delane transferred to LSU and emerged as one of, if not the top cornerback in the country. He broke up a career-high 11 passes and tallied two interceptions for the Tigers in 2025, finishing his collegiate career over four seasons with eight interceptions, 27 pass breakups and four forced fumbles. With sound technique and strong athletic ability to match up, Delane projects to be a day one starter on defense for whoever drafts him.
