| Extremely quick first step and explosiveness off the edge. Quick enough to win with his speed, powerful enough to win with his strength. Pass rushes with a variety of moves and hand placements. | Undisciplined with certain gaps and missed assignments when being aggressive. Doesn’t have the body mass to stay put during kick outs. Will miss hand placements at times, mostly against more powerful tackles. |
OVERVIEW: While there are some concerns over his toughness and size, Bailey is still widely regarded as one of the best edge rushers in the draft. His rare athletic profile provides a blend of speed and power with a mostly NFL-ready frame. Bailey won nearly every defensive award during his time with the Red Raiders after transferring from Stanford for a record-setting NIL deal. And he appeared to be a perfect fit from the beginning in Lubbock with an FBS-best 14.5 sacks and the Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year award.
