| Eats up multiple gaps with his long frame and incredible strength. Dictates the line of scrimmage with a powerful lower body and active feet. Hand fighting and placement are effective as long as he keeps leverage. | Never put up pass-rushing numbers with just one sack in 50 career college games. Wasn’t asked to pass rush a ton, leaving him underprepared with fewer countermoves. Balance is somewhat concerning at times. |
OVERVIEW: One of the strongest defensive linemen in the draft, legend has it Orange squatted 650 pounds, cleaned 365 pounds and benched 450 pounds during his final offseason in Ames. Imagine the possibilities working with an NFL strength staff for a few professional offseasons. Despite his lack of production on paper, the film is impressive. Orange earned third-team All-Big 12 honors in 2025 despite not having a sack and was named at least an honorable mention during each of his three years as a starter for the Cyclones.
