| Anchor is apparent and uses a strong lower half to hold his ground. Keeps good pad level and wins his battles with leverage. Consistently productive, never had the ups and downs that other defensive linemen had. | Elite run defender but not a pass rusher with a wide arsenal. Doesn’t have the desired lateral ability and sometimes fires out of his stance a bit slow. Motor can slow down a bit and doesn’t showcase a willingness to pursue. |
OVERVIEW: One of the stars of Senior Bowl week, Hunter stole the show along with some of his Texas Tech teammates, which ultimately proved the 2025 Red Raiders defense was worth every bit of praise it received. Hunter was a third-team All-American and first-team All-Big 12 honoree this season with 11 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. After starting his career at Auburn, he transferred to UCF for three years where he first began terrorizing Big 12 offensive linemen. He caught the eye of Joey McGuire's staff and then made the move to Lubbock.
