PRO CON
Allen is no doubt an instinctual player with an impressive first step and reaction time. He recognizes blocking schemes and gaps quickly, leading to success in the run game. One of the more secure tacklers in the SEC as he rarely misses. Coverage and change of direction prove to be a problem at times. This is due to a lack of straight-line speed and fluidity in his hips. He’ll sometimes get caught out of position from over-reaching on his first read.

OVERVIEW: This is one of the more intriguing cases in the 2026 draft class when it comes to intelligence vs. traits. Allen has a significant share of both, but his vision and ability to read and react set him apart from the rest over his physical gifts. And he turns just 21 years old during the draft process, meaning there is still room for him to grow and develop upon arriving in the NFL. Teams that are searching for a sure tackler and leader on defense will be excited to see Allen available.

COMPARISON: Tremaine Edmonds
