| Quick processor with standout football IQ that allows him to attack gaps. Packs a punch for his size, and he’s not afraid to blitz, as you can see with his sack of Tennessee’s Diego Pavia in the Citrus Bowl. Could buy time on a roster with special teams value. | Sharar enters the draft as a bit of an underdog with little college experience and an undersized frame. He’ll get pushed around by bigger blockers, so will need to add mass while keeping his agility. |
OVERVIEW: Iowa born and raised, Sharar always dreamed of playing for the Hawkeyes and wasn't going to miss his one chance as a starter in 2025. After playing in 35 games as a reserve from 2021-24, he started all 13 games last season and earned an honorable mention nod from the Big Ten. Sharar led the team with 83 tackles and 12 tackles for loss as a physical middle linebacker. With more seasoning and teaching, he could continue the tradition of linebacker success out of the Iowa program.
