PRO CON
There are not a ton of humans who have the speed and size combo that Bell does. He pairs those traits with some solid power and hand placement technique. Each allow him to win on a normal basis against versatile rushers. Had only one season of starting experience at the Division I level. His height works against him by losing leverage. Usually his feet drag a bit behind because of this too. His bigger body is harder to move laterally.

OVERVIEW: When looking at Markel Bell's 6-foot-9, 346-pound frame, one may think to themselves, How did this guy not receive any interest in high school? He was a zero-star recruit out of a small school in Mississippi and was extremely raw despite his size. Bell decided to go the junior college route and ended up at Holmes Community College, playing two seasons and becoming a top-five juco recruit. After transferring to Miami, Mario Cristoball nicknamed him The Human Skyscraper, and he became an All-ACC performer in his one year as a starter.
