| Extremely mobile and nimble but with the frame of a tanker truck. Quite literally a freak of nature with his explosive first step and powerful hands. Uses his length with ease and is not bothered by the quickest edge rushers. | The biggest questions surrounding his game are out of his control. Short arms (32 inches) and a thin build from top to bottom. Will get his hands outside and grabby at times. Pad level can get high too with his taller build. |
OVERVIEW: Fano grew up with the benefit of practicing against an edge rusher who was also an NFL draft prospect. He and his brother Logan elected to go to Utah, continuing a family tradition of high-level football that runs deep. The two have a total of four uncles who have played in the NFL, and now they'll likely get the chance to do the same. Spencer started all but one game in his college career and allowed just three sacks over 1,047 pass blocking snaps, including zero over his last 746. He was named the first Outland Trophy winner in program history.
