Garrett Nussmeier
2026 NFL Draft Prospect
  • Height: 6-2
  • Weight: 203
  • School: LSU
  • Class: Senior
PRO CON
In command of the offense with a great understanding of the playbook and how to read coverages. His quick release pairs nicely with some solid arm talent and velocity on passes. Tough runner and durable enough to take hits. Put the ball in harm’s way too often throughout the season, mostly trying to fit passes into tight windows. That led to a high interception rate (17 in two years). Height could be concerning for certain teams.

OVERVIEW: Some around the NFL Draft world waited until his fantastic Senior Bowl MVP performance to hop on the bandwagon, but those around him throughout his career know Nussmeier can play. Highly recruited out of Marcus High School in the Dallas suburb of Flower mound, he waited his turn at LSU behind Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels, and then tallied 7,700 passing yards and 52 touchdowns over two years as a starter. He'll have plenty left to prove in the NFL but enters the league with a skill set that could keep him around for some time.
