| Stowers was very productive over his final two seasons at Vanderbilt. Good speed for his size and attacks the middle of the field well. Smart player who uses his background to make the quarterback’s life easier. | Stowers’ speed can come to a quicker halt when defenders get their hands on him. He also allows opposition to hang with him sometimes by rounding out at top of his routes instead of making sharp cuts. |
OVERVIEW: The Denton, Texas, native began his college career as a quarterback, but made the move to tight end and developed into one of the best in the country, posting 1,407 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in his final two seasons at Vanderbilt. Stowers works very well vertically in the middle of the field and has an excellent vertical jump that will allow him to get up over just about everyone and bring in passes with his strong hands. With some refinement on how sharp his cuts can be at the top of routes, he can continue producing at the NFL level.
