| Klare separates well when he takes his routes east and west, but he also has good speed to run upfield after the catch or take his route vertical. He’s at an advantage against defenders with stiffer hips in coverage. | Can get blown up by larger, stronger players when asked to block. His yards per reception took a significant step down from 2024 to 2025 (13.4 to 10.4). Improved catch technique would make things a bit easier. |
OVERVIEW: After transferring from Purdue to Ohio State, Klare joined a high-powered Buckeyes offense that was loaded with skill talent. Unfortunately, that caused his yards per reception to drop. Still, he was effective as a target on plays where he worked the middle of the field, as he became a difficult assignment for linebackers who would have to follow him on crossing routes. Klare can struggle on making catches easy for himself, but with the ball in his hands, he's able to pick up chunk yardage after the catch.
