| Knack for late hands and timing them up at the high point. Tracks the ball with ease and can adjust back to it. Plays physical and finishes through contact. Extremely smart in his route running and rarely wastes movement. | Long speed will be a question after underwhelming numbers in the 40-yard dash and calf strains. Not a polished run blocker yet because, although he doesn’t shy away from contact, he doesn’t attack it head on either. |
OVERVIEW: Ohio State has turned into quite the college pipeline for NFL wide receivers and Tate is the next up. Partially overshadowed by sophomore superstar Jeremiah Smith and other former Buckeyes who now play on Sundays, but Tate still took full advantage of his one season in the spotlight. He was a touchdown machine with scores in all but three appearances in 2025, while also totaling 875 receiving yards. With route running and ball skills that are NFL ready, he'll have a similar chance to immediately transition with success to the pros.
