Cowboys Don't See A Dirty Titans Team

The Titans' defense has taken some criticism, most recently from their Sunday opponent, the Denver Broncos, for supposedly playing dirty.

Tennessee does have a league-high six personal fouls and two roughing-the-passer penalties. But Cowboys tight end Jason Witten sees an aggressive defense on film, not a cheap one.

"You can tell they play hard," Witten said. "You can tell they've been coached that way. They rally to the ball and that's the way it's been for a while . . . effort and motor, that's what they pride themselves in doing. When you watch them on film, that kind of jumps out at you.

"I don't think you look at it that's cheap or anything like that. I just think that they play hard, and so you have to match that intensity."

Wade Phillips said he hasn't gotten that impression of Tennessee, either. But he always talks to his players about playing "with poise, no matter what."
