The life and times of Jerry Jones will be revealed in a brand-new series from Netflix, which announced the details of "America's Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys."

The show premieres Aug. 19, highlighting Jones' journey to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, from his pre-Cowboys endeavors to buying the team, leading them back to the Team of the 90s and changing the NFL in a way that has never been seen before or since.

From the Emmy-winning directors of other shows such as Kings of Tupelo, Wild Wild Country, this new series is described by Netflix as:

A man who bet it all. A series of calculated risks. A team meticulously designed for greatness. America's Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys is the definitive story of The Dallas Cowboys and Jerry Jones' impact on NFL history. What began as a daring purchase led to the assembly of the iconic '90s football team – a decade-plus journey, led by Jones' intrepid business moves, that revolutionized global sports and resulted in three NFL titles. Through first-hand interviews and never-before-seen footage, this series unravels the dramatic twists and turns on the road to the Cowboys becoming the most valuable sports franchise in the world.

The show includes in-depth interviews from some of the all-time great players, coaches and rivals of the 1990s like Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith, Deion Sanders, and head coaches Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer, as well as political and pop culture figures such as President George W. Bush, Nike founder, Phil Knight and media mogul Rupert Murdoch.

The series is being produced by Skydance Sports in association with NFL Films and Stardust Frames Productions.
