Inaugural Back-To-Football 5K Run To Finish At AT&T Stadium

ARLINGTON, Texas—For the first time, the Dallas Cowboys are joining Competitor Group in hosting a Back to Football 5K Run on Saturday, Sept. 7 as part of the NFL Run Series. Debuting the day before the season opener against the New York Giants, the Cowboys Back to Football Run invites fans to share in the glory of the gridiron while supporting a healthy and active lifestyle by completing a 5K (3.1 mile) distance.  Participants will have the unprecedented opportunity to finish their race on the 50-yard line at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.

Younger fans will also have the opportunity to participate in the Kids PLAY 60 Fun Run, a half-mile portion of the adult 5K course also to finish on the 50-yard line underneath the largest centre hung video board in the world.

Proceeds from the race will benefit The Salvation Army. To register for the race, visit www.nflrunseries.com/cowboys. Online registration is open until Thursday, Sept. 5. Walk-up registration will be available during packet pick-up on Sept. 6, as well as on race day.

The NFL Run Series began in 2012 with four NFL teams. This year, the NFL expanded the run to include 12 teams, one of which is the Cowboys. Following the race, participants and their guests will be able to enjoy post-race activities, including the Rally Day event. Rally Day will feature appearances by alumni players and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
