The Dallas Cowboys saw fortune fall their way in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft when, at pick 17, CeeDee Lamb was available. Highly regarded as one of the top wide receivers in the draft, Lamb's addition to the Dallas offense gave the club one of the most dangerous offenses in the NFL. In his first year in Dallas, Lamb caught a team rookie record 74 passes for 935 yards (second) and five touchdowns (tied for fourth). He was second among league rookies in catches and receiving yards and became the first player in NFL history to start a rookie season with six consecutive games of five-or-more catches. His 1,017 scrimmage yards allowed him to become the seventh rookie in Cowboys history to top 1,000 scrimmage yards. He was also one-of-29 rookies in NFL history - one-of-13 since the merger - to score a touchdown via rushing, receiving and kickoff return in his first NFL season. Lamb made a vast improvement for his second season as he led the team with 79 catches and 1,102 yards while tying for second with six touchdowns and earned his first trip to the Pro Bowl in 2021. With the departure of Amari Cooper in 2022, Lamb was tabbed as the number one receiver for Dallas, and he stepped up with a career-best season. Lamb recorded 107 receptions - third Cowboys player to eclipse 100 catches - 1,359 yards and nine touchdowns in 17 starts, earning second-team All-Pro honors and his second consecutive Pro Bowl appearance.
