Alan Ball– Cornerback is potentially one of the Cowboys' thinnest positions with so many expiring contracts (Ball, Frank Walker) and speculation that Terence Newman might not return. Ball's versatility makes him at least a possibility to return as a backup corner who can slide over to safety in a pinch, having started a full season there in 2010. The sixth-year veteran would be eligible for at least a $700,000 minimum salary in 2012.
