FRISCO, Texas - The Cowboys continue to add to the secondary room as they have agreed to terms with veteran CB Derion Kendrick to a 1-year contract.

Kendrick, who spent time with both the Rams and the Super Bowl champion Seahawks last year, has played three full seasons in his career, which began in 2022. Kendrick has 47 games played with 18 starts.

Two of his three career interceptions occurred last year with the Seahawks.

Initially drafted in the sixth round by the Rams, Kendrick spent the 2022 and 2023 seasons in Los Angeles. He missed all of 2024 with an torn ACL injury suffered in practice, but returned last year with the Seahawks. He played 10 games in Seattle before finishing the year back with the Rams once again.

Kendrick and another Cowboys free agent CB addition, Cobie Durant, were both part of the Rams' 2022 draft class. Durant was taken in the fourth round out of South Carolina State, and Kendrick in the sixth round out of Georgia. Kendrick spent three years at Clemson before ending his collegiate career with the Bulldogs.

The addition of Kendrick marks the fourth external defensive back that Dallas has signed in free agency this cycle. After allowing the most passing yards per game in the NFL last season, getting depth has been a priority for new defensive coordinator Christian Parker.

The Cowboys recently re-signed veteran Corey Ballentine, who played in five games in Dallas last year. The cornerback room also consists of DaRon Bland, Shavon Revel, Durant, Josh Butler, Caelen Carson, Reddy Steward, Trikweze Bridges.
