CowBuzz: Johnson Thanks Fans,Team; Still Pursuing NFL Career

Matt Johnson was officially waived by the Dallas Cowboys on August 26th to trim the roster down to the 75-man requirement during the preseason.

Johnson was drafted by the Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2012 draft and never saw the field in a regular season game.  Johnson's NFL career was plagued by training camp and preseason injuries and the team decided to part ways last month.

Earlier today, Johnson thanked the Jones family, his coaches, teammates and Cowboys fans for their support via his Twitter account.  Johnson also stated the he plans to continue his dream of playing in the NFL.
