The 2018 season didn't end the way that Cowboys players, coaches and fans had hoped – that's for sure. But there is so much to be proud of, and a lot to take away from this rollercoaster ride of a season. After starting out 3-5 and ending up in the divisional round of the playoffs, Cowboys players believe they can only go up from there.

Even Cowboys legend and Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith thinks the team is headed in the right direction.

After the loss to the L.A. Rams in the divisional round, players took to social media to thank #CowboysNation for sticking with them, and cheering them on throughout this whirlwind of a season.

Cowboys Nation may have a while to wait until they see their Cowboys in action again. But the 233 days until the 2019 regular season officially kicks off will allow this Cowboys team to get themselves in the best shape to push for their ultimate goal next season: The Super Bowl.
