Elliott Wins Fans Vote; Takes Home Rookie Rushing Honor

In what the Cowboys can only hope will be the first of many, Ezekiel Elliott was named the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week.

Collecting the most fans votes, Elliott won for his Week 4 performance against the 49ers that included 138 rushing yards and his third touchdown of the season. Elliott's rushing total has elevated him to the NFL's top spot with 412 yards after four games.

Elliott beat out other candidates Le'Veon Bell and Matt Jones for the rushing portion of the award. Atlanta's Matt Ryan was named the FedEx Air Player of the Week, beating out Ben Roethlisberger and Russel Wilson.

With the win, a $2,000 donation will be given to The USO in Elliott's name.
