Extra Points: Garrett Comments on Decision to Leave Whitehead Behind

Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett didn't provide a lot of information on Lucky Whitehead's absence, but did clarify the reasoning for him staying home.

"Lucky was late for our meetings yesterday morning," Garrett said in his post-game press conference. "We felt it was in the best interest for him and our football team for him not to make the trip."

Garrett confirmed Whitehead would be fined – as all players are for missing meetings – but didn't offer more details. It does appear Whitehead will return to practice this week with a chance to play again Sunday against the Bucs.

Without Whitehead, Cole Beasley handled the punt returns and Lance Dunbar was the primary returner on kickoffs.
