FRISCO, Texas – A full breakdown of the Cowboys' first fifth-round draft pick (No. 158 overall) Saturday:

Name: Michael Jackson

Position: Cornerback

College: Miami (Fla.)

Height/Weight: 6-1/210

The Rundown: A former All-ACC second-team pick, Jackson started 23 games over his final two seasons for the Hurricanes, posting four interceptions as a junior and six pass breakups as a senior.

How He Fits In: Cornerback depth was always a sneaky draft need for the Cowboys, with Pro Bowler Byron Jones spending the offseason rehabbing from hip surgery and nickel corner Anthony Brown also entering the final year of his contract. At 6-1, Brown is the tall, rangy press corner that defensive backs coach/passing game coordinator Kris Richard covets. He'll compete for a backup spot on a deep depth chart that also features young contributors Chidobe Awuzie and Jourdan Lewis.

Next Cowboys Pick: 5th Round (165th overall)
