Mailbag: What Does Peterson's Return Mean For Hardy?; Lawrence's Grade?

LEE JANKOWSKIPHOENIX, AZ
Does Adrian Peterson's reinstatement likely mean Hardy will also lose no games in 2015?

Bryan: The two are not connected at all. If I were a fan I would expect the worst here, to be honest. Initially, I thought it would be two-to-four games, but I am not so sure now. Hardy missed those games last season, but he was paid to sit out. I wouldn't be one bit surprised if the commissioner makes a big statement here. He doesn't need the Ray Rice situation again.

Rob: I wouldn't jump to any conclusions on Hardy's status. Peterson and Hardy have two different sets of circumstances. I would imagine the league handles each player on a case-by-case basis and will make a decision in due time. But I guess there's one similarity in that both were placed on the commissioner's exempt list last year and have already missed 15 games.

Where would DeMarcus Lawrence rank among pass rushers in this year's draft?

Bryan: He would be a consideration easily at 27 in this draft. I would have had him behind Dante Fowler and Vic Beasley, but in the mix with Bud Dupree and Randy Gregory.

Rob: I'll defer to Bryan here, but Lawrence graded out last year as an outstanding athlete who could fit as either a 4-3 end or 3-4 outside linebacker. He's an explosive pass rusher sort of in the mold of Bud Dupree, one of the top prospects in this year's class. He'd likely be considered again as a first- to second-round pick, in my opinion.
