Position Series: Safety Not Exactly Sorted Out

While a tight end isn't necessarily a draft need, we take a look at a player in the position group that could make sense for each of Dallas' seven draft selections.

For three years, Chauncey Golston has played both defensive end and tackle. While his position remains unclear, the Cowboys lost two players each at those spots, opening the door for Golston.

There is little concern regarding the tight end position for the Dallas Cowboys as they head toward the 2024 NFL Draft, and there are plenty of reasons why that's true.

The Cowboys have historically done a good enough job in free agency that they could draft the best player available. Obviously, this year is different. Will the team's needs this time outweigh the opportunity to draft the best available player?
