Malik Davis: Go ahead and count this guy out again, and Davis will continue to prove us all wrong. That's what he's done the last 12 months and he even did it again out here, when Blue and Mafah were getting a lot of the attention for the RB2 spot. They both got first-half carries in the Seattle game but when Davis got his chance to run, he did so better than anyone else. He also had some nice runs in practice, proving once again that he's probably the second-best back on the team. – (Nick Eatman)

Ryan Flournoy: Caught in the middle of the two superstar receivers and also some of the young playmakers who made a name for themselves, Flournoy also had a great camp, putting a chokehold on the No. 3 spot. In fact, Brian Schottenheimer said Flournoy is a good special teams player but has played his way off the special teams for the most part. – (Nick Eatman)

Jaishawn Barham: Even though he missed some time with a minor groin injury, everyone in the Cowboys organization from Jerry Jones to Brian Schottenheimer was raving about Barham. The rookie is all business, and that translated to a strong camp where he was able to show he can play inside at linebacker as well as move down to the line of scrimmage before the snap and rush the passer. - (Tommy Yarrish)

Brevyn Spann-Ford: One of the only players that we can actually say moved his way up the depth chart here in camp. Ok, so maybe that move took place back in the offseason but the first time the Cowboys put out a depth chart, it had Spann-Ford as the No. 2 tight end behind Ferguson and ahead of Luke Schoonmaker. And out here in camp, BSF had a really good showing, mixing up the run-blocking along with being a capable down-field target. And if you need an enforcer on the offense, Spann-Ford seems to play that role as well. – (Nick Eatman)

DeMarvion Overshown: This was a big camp for D-Mo, who is also in a contract year but he's got a lot to prove. Not only does he need to stay healthy in a position that is one of the most physically-demanding in football, but also needs to be the quarterback of the defense with the "green dot." He was really good here in Oxnard, having some of the bigger hits of camp – a camp that saw no tackling to the ground. – (Nick Eatman)

Tyler Booker: Entering this year's camp, all eyes were on Tyler Guyton's development at left tackle and what that might mean for Tyler Smith's role but, quiet as it's kept, the other Tyler was sharpening his teeth against the rock known as Quinnen Williams. He held his own in a very real way, and after the impressive rookie season he put on film, there's a good chance Booker could have a Pro Bowl nod in his immediate future. - (Patrik Walker)

Donovan Ezeiruaku: His training camp has been overshadowed more by the over-aggressive nature that saw him get removed from practice on two occasions. But on the field, he did have a strong camp, showing the ability to both get to the passer and stop the run. And if he can learn from Von Miller in the way the veteran is hoping for, then EZE has a chance to have a huge breakout season. – (Nick Eatman)

Jake Ferguson: It appears Ferguson is eager to prove something again this year, despite making a Pro Bowl with a career-high in catches. But Ferguson has been making more down-the-field receptions that would make this offense even more dangerous if Ferguson proves to be more of a dynamic option. – (Nick Eatman)

Javonte Williams: When no one is talking about you, it's not always a good thing. But in this case, the reason the focus has been on the backup running back is because no one is even close to touching the starter. Javonte Williams is the clear-cut No. 1 back and more than that, he's showed that here in Oxnard, not only looking a bit quicker, but also flashing some speed in the open field as a receiver. And he's definitely the best blocking back of the group. – (Nick Eatman)

Rashan Gary: Even though he's one of the newcomers who should be able to take this defense to another level, Gary still gets overshadowed some because of Christian Parker or Caleb Downs and now even Von Miller. But make no mistake, Gary is going to be a handful for opposing tackles and he also seems to be someone who can immediately help stop the run. We know that can be a lethal combination for defensive ends. – (Nick Eatman)

Tyler Guyton: For the first time in his career, Guyton was able to get through an entire training camp healthy, minus a sore elbow that he got taped up but was still able to play through. That experienced paid off, as Guyton was consistently solid on the left side of the line and continued to improve over the course of his time in Oxnard. - (Tommy Yarrish)

Kenny Clark: For as much as Quinnen Williams stole the show on the defense and defensive interior, Clark was right next to him moving bodies as well. Often, he'd also take on, and manhandle, double teams to free up Williams to eat hearty in one-on-one matchups. Bottom line: Kenny Clark is as important to this defense as is Williams, and the duo is dynamic. - (Patrik Walker)

CeeDee Lamb: This is where expectations can hurt a player like CeeDee, who had another really good camp. His plays aren't as dynamic and flashy as Pickens, but still as effective and is a big reason the offense was humming for most of camp. Lamb had some occasional drops but for the most part, looks to be on his way for another elite season from one of the NFL's elite receivers. – (Nick Eatman)

Camden Brown - One of the biggest surprises of camp was Brown, who got on our radar early in camp with some great catches but he really made his mark in Seattle, catching both touchdowns. Has he done enough to make the team?

Caleb Downs: Downs may not have had a ton of highlight plays, interceptions, etc. that you saw on social media, but he continually made his presence felt in the middle of the field and improved day by day after going up against players like CeeDee Lamb and Chris Olave. There's a chance that Downs won't wow on the box score, but his impact on the game will be evident enough to where the numbers won't matter as much. - (Tommy Yarrish)

Shavon Revel: Ok, now we're getting to the good part of this list. Yeah, the guys ahead of Revel had great camps but who is surprised? But Revel came into Oxnard with something to prove and while he's definitely not a finished product by any means, he rose to the challenge. And that challenge by the way is just facing Pickens, CeeDee, Flournoy and Turpin even single reps and then repeating over and over. Also, Revel shined in the scrimmages with the Rams and Saints, so it was a great camp for a young cornerback that needed a great camp. – (Nick Eatman)

Tyler Smith: Methinks it smart to keep Smith at left guard, folks. Sure, he can play left tackle in a pinch, but the way he was continually able to keep Kenny Clark and Quinnen Williams at bay in Oxnard, winning his fair share of those battles against two of the best in the NFL, served as a reminder that Smith is still arguably the best GUARD in all of football. - (Patrik Walker)

Quinnen Williams: In his first training camp with the Cowboys, Williams was very difficult to handle even with Dallas' strong interior trio of Tyler Smith, Cooper Beebe and Tyler Booker. Williams flashed the most in run defense, as it was very difficult for any of the Cowboys running backs to find much room up the middle when he was on the line. - (Tommy Yarrish)

Dak Prescott – While the defense does look new and improved, it didn't stop Dak Prescott and the offense from having a great camp. In fact, it might have even raised his game. Sure, the expectations are sky high for Dak and this offense but you can see that he's still in total command of the group, he seems to be seeing the field even better and his deep-ball connection looks to be improved as well. – (Nick Eatman)

George Pickens: There were rumors outside of the building that Pickens might hold out, or hold in, because of the franchise tag. Instead, all he did was show up every single day, in every single rep, and flat-out dominate training camp — making big play after big play — to send the message that he's coming for it all in 2026. - (Patrik Walker)
