Star: Identifying Players On The Bubble

Over at the headquarters of Dallas Cowboys Star Magazine, we're wrapping up the training camp preview edition this week. It'll be mailed out on Monday and subscribers should start looking for it in the mailbox sometime after the 4th of July.

In addition to my highly, highly anticipated Oxnard, Calif. restaurant recommendations, the most interesting component of the camp preview may be our breakdown of the entire roster as it stands currently. A power ranking, of sorts, it's a rundown of all 90 players based on their likelihood of making the squad.

I won't give away the entire list, but to whet the appetite, here are those players with the most on the line this summer, the guys who have been identified as "on the bubble."

There are a few veterans, some younger guys, draft picks and even a few undrafted rookies in the mix, but despite everyone's background, it's likely each of these guys enters camp on fairly equal footing.

May the best guys win:

40. DE Kenyon Coleman41. DE Marcus Spears42. WR Danny Coale43. TE James Hanna44. WR Dwayne Harris45. DE Clifton Geathers46. WR Cole Beasley47. QB Stephen McGee48. WR Kevin Ogletree49. This month's issue also features training camp history, a full visitor's guide to Oxnard, an update on the Mike Jenkins situation, a profile of undrafted standout Cole Beasley, plus a salute to recently-passed former Cowboys linebacker and longtime assistant coach Jerry Tubbs and the farewell column of Ken Sims, who covered the Cowboys for the *Star *for over 25 years.

Subscribe to *Dallas Cowboys Star Magazine** *before July 1 to save $10 on a 32 issues, running weekly beginning in training camp and monthly throughout the offseason.
