PRO CON
You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more fluid defensive back in the draft than Sainristil, as he glides on the field with his change-of-direction ability and quick hips. A willing tackler, Sainristil could be the next great nickel option out of Michigan for whatever team grabs him. Standing at just 5-foot-9.5, Sainristil’s size will allow offensive weapons to simply overpower him at times both in route running and in the open field, but his above-average strength allows him to close that wide gap. His abilities also limit him to covering inside receivers.

OVERVIEW: One of the top prep prospects to come out of the state of Massachusetts in recent memory, Sainristil started on the offensive side of the ball with the Wolverines before moving to cornerback for his final two seasons, where he was able to translate his ball skills in 2023 toward accounting for six interceptions and two pick-sixes. While his size at the next level is certainly a concern, his speed and athleticism (4.47 40-yard dash and 40-inch vertical) makes him a nuisance in the slot that could wreak havoc.
