2024 NFL Draft Quarterback Prospects

Coming off a season in which he finished second in MVP voting and earned his third career Pro Bowl invite, there’s really no question that Dak Prescott is Dallas’ starting quarterback in 2024. But what about in 2025 and beyond? With questions only mounting in regard to Prescott, there are many who believe Dallas needs to find his eventual replacement now. And we’re not just talking about Trey Lance, who will be competing with Cooper Rush for the backup job this upcoming season. The Cowboys have not added a quarterback within the first two rounds of the draft since selecting Quincy Carter in 2001. They haven’t picked up a quarterback of any kind since seventh-rounder Ben DiNucci in 2020. Is it time to finally invest in a quarterback early in the draft? Probably not this year. With Prescott in place and so many other glaring needs throughout the roster, that can will likely be kicked down the road once again.
