One of the more complete defenders in the entire draft class, Turner brings an explosiveness that allows him to consistently win in pass rush, an intelligence that allows him to play in space in the second level, and a motor that keeps him churning throughout a game. Despite playing in the second level and off the edge for Alabama, Turner could find more success in defending the run. His backfield reads make him dangerous in the pass game, but misdirection action typically leaves him stuck or going the opposite way.

OVERVIEW: After Will Anderson was the first defender taken off the board in the 2023 NFL Draft, Turner will look to be the second consecutive Alabama EDGE to set off the defensive picks in April. His athleticism, explosiveness and motor helped power a Crimson Tide defense that excelled in Nick Saban's final year. Coming out after just three seasons, Anderson's junior year in 2023 saw him account for 15.5 tackles for loss and 11 sacks on his way to being a consensus first-team All-America choice. His speed showed up at the combine with a position group-leading 4.46 in the 40-yard dash.
