Talented against the run with his ability to cut off any action downhill for opposing runners, Trotter accounted for 192 tackles in three seasons for the Tigers due to his quick instincts and his ability to fit into running lanes. That skill set also is seen in when he rushes the passer. While he is decisive in the run game, a bit of stiffness in his lateral movement can keep him from making up ground against athletic offensive weapons moving to his left or right. It doesn’t always show up in pass coverage, but the same problems can flare up in man coverage.

OVERVIEW: The son of a four-time Pro Bowler, Trotter brought the NFL pedigree from the first time he touched a football field all the way to his college days at Clemson. There he stood out with his knowledge of the game in the second level and his ability to make those around him better. Trotter enters the draft early after three years under Dabo Swinney with his last two seasons seeing him earn AP Second-Team All-America honors.
