PRO CON
Some of the best body control in the draft. Top-notch ability to pinpoint the ball and shield off a defender. Big-bodied receiver who has the ability to play smaller. Great route runner and builds separation with his change of direction and speed at the stem. When he lost a snap (which was rare), it was at the start of the play. Wasn’t great at shedding press man and would rely on his agility, not his power, to get him out of it. Steady speed but not breakaway speed. Could be slow translating YAC to NFL.

OVERVIEW: A good chunk of the credit for Washington's success in 2023 should go to the overall improvement and production of Rome Odunze. He led the way in 2022, becoming a feared receiver in the Pack-12 with a 1,000-yard season. Then took it to another level with quarterback Michael Penix Jr. last year with 1,428 yards and 13 touchdowns to earn All-American honors. There are still things that Odunze can work on to bring more success at the next level, but his current skill set could already be productive in the NFL for a long time.

COMPARISON: Courtland Sutton
