For his breakout performance on Monday night, 115 yards on 14 carries in the win over Washingtobn, Felix Jones is up for this week's Air & Ground NFL Player of the Week.
Fans can vote for Jones through 2 p.m. (CT) on Friday. Also nominated for the award were Chargers running back Ryan Mathews, who had 98 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Kansas City, and the Raiders' Darren McFadden, a college teammate of Jones' who had 171 yards on 19 carries in a win over the Jets.
Jones' big night also included three catches for 40 yards.
Behind two big rushing gains in the second half, a 29-yarder and a 40-yarder which both led to field goals, Jones broke out of a funk that last the first 10 quarters of the season, in which he rushed 33 times for 89 yards.
After the Week 2 win at San Francisco, quarterback Tony Romo was nominated for the Air award.
