All Cowboys Starters Ruled Active Ahead Of Playoff Matchup vs. Green Bay

ARLINGTON, Texas – Sunday's inactives are unique for the Cowboys – and not just because it's the playoffs.

As they prepare to face the Packers in the divisional round of the playoffs, the Cowboys have only six inactive players. The team never filled the roster spot vacated by Randy Gregory's suspension last week, so there are only 52 players on the active roster heading into this game.

With that in mind, the Cowboys' six inactives for Sunday are Mark Sanchez, Leon McFadden, Alfred Morris, Mark Nzeocha, Jonathan Cooper and Richard Ash.

This week's list reflects just how good the Cowboys' overall health is heading into this game, as several injured players are returning to action. Morris Claiborne is active for the first time since injuring his groin on Oct. 30. DeMarcus Lawrence, Cedric Thornton and Justin Durant are active for the first time since Dec. 18.

Perhaps most importantly, Tyron Smith is active and expected to play after sitting out the final game of the regular season with an MCL sprain in his right knee.

The Cowboys will indeed have all hands on deck, which means some of their more visible role players will be taking a seat for this game. Leon McFadden and Mark Nzeocha enjoyed some playing time during the final games of the season, but the return of Claiborne and Durant means their services won't be needed against Green Bay.

Alfred Morris is once again a healthy scratch, as he has been since Darren McFadden returned from the Non-Football Injury list.

On the flip side, the Packers' inactives will likely have a much larger impact on this game than the Cowboys'. Jordy Nelson was ruled out earlier in the week, and he will be replaced in the starting lineup by Devante Adams.

Cornerback Quinten Rollins has also been ruled out after suffering an injury in Week 17. Fellow cornerback Damarious Randall showed up on the Packers' injury report with a foot problem on Saturday, but he is active for the game.

Green Bay's other inactives are quarterback Joe Callahan, running back James Starks, offensive tackle Kyle Murphy, offensive lineman JC Tretter and linebacker Jayrone Elliott.
