Brent was jailed June 27 after a June 19 drug test indicated he tested positive for marijuana – the Cowboys defensive tackle's second failed drug test in the past two months.

He is expected to return to court for a hearing on July 19 – coincidentally, the same day the Cowboys report to training camp in Oxnard, Calif.

Brent is still scheduled to undergo trial for manslaughter in the Dec. 8, 2012, drunk driving accident that resulted in the death of teammate Jerry Brown. He could face up to [embedded_ad] 20 years in prison if convicted.

Brent remains on the Cowboys' 90-man roster at this point in time. Brown's mother, Stacey Jackson, asked the team to support Brent – who is a family friend – as much as possible in the run-up to his trial.
