Can Holley Convert 4th And Long With Pats?

IRVING, Texas --Jesse Holley's improbable (and inspiring) NFL career is still alive.

A free agent since the Cowboys chose not to re-sign him this offseason, Holley on Monday signed onto the Patriots' 90-man training camp roster, where he'll try to beat long odds once again.

Holley made the Cowboys' practice squad in 2009 after, of all things, earning a training camp spot on Michael Irvin's reality TV competition "Fourth and Long."

He was promoted to the active roster as a core special teamer in the middle of the 2010 season, and in 2011 he caught all seven passes thrown his way by Tony Romo.

A great story, indeed. Holley wasn't chosen to be in this summer's backup receiver competition, but maybe he'll grab Bill Belichick's attention.
