IRVING, Texas – Next week marks the second straight year members of the Dallas Cowboys will join coach Jason Garrett in switching sports for charity.

Garrett will join Jason Witten, Miles Austin, DeMarco Murray, Dez Bryant, Brandon Carr, Bruce Carter, Sean Lee, Jason Hatcher, and Doug Free in a home run competition to benefit The Salvation Army on Wednesday, May 8 at 4 p.m. Each competitor will have 10 chances to send a ball over the fence, with each home run earning $1,000 and an extra swing. The last pitch comes with the chance to send $2,000 sliding into home for the Youth Education Town of The Salvation Army in Arlington.

This marks the second year Reliant Energy will sponsor the event, which raised $40,000 last year for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.
