IRVING, Texas – The result of the game doesn't always dictate how many people watched when it comes to the Cowboys.
Monday night's game between the Cowboys and Bears was ESPN's highest-rated Monday Night Football game of the season and the most-watched show of the night, despite the lopsided result in a 45-28 victory for Chicago.
The telecast ranked as the top show of the night across cable and broadcast in households, viewers and all key male and adult demos, according to ESPN. It also earned a 10.2 US rating.
ESPN's previous best MNF rating of the year was a 10.1 in the season opener between the Eagles and Redskins on Sept. 9. Through 14 weeks, ESPN's MNF is averaging a US rating of 8.6.
The telecast between the Bears and Cowboys on ESPN Deportes was also the most-watched NFL game ever on nationally broadcast Spanish-language television.
