IRVING, Texas – The Cowboys released linebacker Alex Albright and safety Eric Frampton from injured reserve Tuesday.

Both players contributed last season with 18 combined tackles apiece. Albright figured to compete for playing time at the strong side linebacker position, but a back injury prevented that in training camp. Frampton also was injured during training camp, hurting his calf.

In addition, defensive tackle Ben Bass underwent surgery on the shoulder he dislocated before the season opener. Bass was already on injured reserve.
