Halfway Point: Ware On King's All-Pro Team

With the NFL eight weeks deep in the season, it's time for at least one NFL writer to hand out some half-season awards.

Sports Illustrated's Peter King did his projected playoff teams and Super Bowl winners, along with postseason awards and added a mid-season All-Pro team.

Surprise, surprise that DeMarcus Ware made the list as an outside linebacker. He's got 12 sacks, just a half-sack  behind Minnesota's Jared Allen, who has  played one more game than Ware.

While Sean Lee has been really good in the middle, Ware remains the team's most talented player on either side of the ball and if he keeps this up, he'll pass Michael Strahan's single-season sack record of 23 ½ although he'll likely be battling with Allen for a new record.

Here are all of Peter King’s awards and honors at the halfway point in the 2011 season.
