IRVING, Texas – Anthony Hitchens' 13-tackle effort against the Rams is getting the fourth-round pick some recognition.

Fans get vote for the Cowboys linebacker, who's a nominee for the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week after compiling 10 solo tackles, three assisted tackles and a pass deflection against the Rams. He also came up with a crucial fourth-and-1 stop in the win.

The other Week 3 nominees are Cardinals wide receiver John Brown, Eagles wide receiver Jordan Matthews, Panthers wide receivers Kelvin Benjamin and Bears cornerback Kyle Fuller.

Hitchens made his first start at middle linebacker Sunday, filling in for the injured Rolando McClain. The rookie's been forced to learn a lot quickly, bumping around between middle and weak side linebacker. He got the start in the middle against the Rams and led the Cowboys in tackles. [embedded_ad]
