Jason Garrett Offers Condolences To Eagles Coach Andy Reid

OXNARD, Calif. -- Before taking any questions about injuries or the Cowboys intrasquad scrimmage Sunday afternoon, head coach Jason Garrett offered his condolences to Eagles coach Andy Reid for the loss of his oldest son, Garrett, who was found dead Sunday morning.

Jason Garrett also offered condolences to Reid's wife, Tammy, and the entire Eagles organization. He said Reid is an outstanding football coach and also a quality person off the field.

"He's been really good to me and so good to so many people in the NFL for a long, long time," the Cowboys coach said. "He's part of our fraternity, and this is a really, really sad day for their family and really for everybody in the NFL."

Jason Garrett said he sent Reid a text message and the Cowboys organization will also reach out to the Eagles coach.
