Jerry Jones Officially Announces His Presenter For Hall of Fame Induction

FRISCO, Texas – After a long debate, Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones has announced his presenter for next month's Hall of Fame induction speech.

Jones will be presented by his wife, Gene Jones, when he is formally introduced for the 2017 Class in Canton, Ohio on Aug. 5.

"Any recognition that I may have received throughout our years in the NFL has been the result of a group effort involving all of my family," said Jerry Jones.  "Gene is the backbone of our family, and her influence guides and inspires all of us.  She is my closest advisor, my best friend, and it is only fitting that she present me, and represent our entire family, at this very special time."

A native of Danville, Arkansas, the former Gene Chambers met Jerry Jones while the two attended the University of Arkansas.  They married while still in college, and the couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2013.  They have three adult children, Stephen Jones, Charlotte Jones Anderson and Jerry Jones, Jr., all of whom hold executive positions with the Dallas Cowboys.  The Joneses' also have nine grandchildren.

While the Cowboys have enjoyed their share of success on the field, they are just as powerful in the community, thanks in large part to the Gene and Jerry Jones Family Foundation, which has serviced the Dallas-Fort Worth area and beyond for more than 27 years. With a primary focus on the partnership with the The Salvation Army, the foundation is considered one of the most generous family foundation in all of sports.[embeddedad0]

The enshrinement will occur two days after the Cowboys kick off the preseason schedule in Canton for the Hall of Fame game with the Arizona Cardinals. Jones will become the 16th representative of the Cowboys to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
